The first meeting of the Algebra Research Group at LTSNU

The first meeting of the Algebra Research Group was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

At the beginning of March, the first research group – the Algebra Research Group (hereinafter ARG) – was established at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Recently, the first meeting of this research group was held, which was headed by Yurii Zhuchok, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics. The ARG members included professors and associate professors of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, postgraduate and master’s students majoring in 111 Mathematics, and a student majoring in 014 “Secondary Education. Math”.

As part of the first meeting of the ARG, the results of a student’s scientific work in mathematics of a 3rd-year student majoring in 014 “Secondary Education. Mathematics” were considered by Yevhen Kuriachii on the topic: “Classification of g-demonoids of the second and third orders” (scientific supervisor – Ph.D., Professor Yurii Zhuchok). The work received positive reviews and was recommended for participation in scientific competitions of the All-Ukrainian level. Anatolii Zhuchok, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Olena Toichkina, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, gave useful advice to the speaker regarding further research.

Organizational issues of ARG work were also discussed at the meeting.
