The ceremonial meeting was opened by the chairman of the City Council, who presented the annals of development and the future of the Dolyna territorial community. On behalf of the university delegation, the first vice-rector spoke about the history of the establishment of the educational institution and emphasized that at all times it remains a single, steadfast, consistent center of Ukrainian statehood. It was because of this position during the invasion of the occupiers in 2014 and 2022 that the university and 85% of the teaching staff moved first to the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk region, and then to the Poltava region (the cities of Poltava, Lubny, Myrhorod). Currently, all students continue their studies using the advantages of distance education.
The rector spoke about the advantages of studying at a higher education institution, noting that the main priorities are: the availability of a large number of budget places, studying at the expense of vouchers from the Employment Centers, obtaining an international diploma, affordable tuition fees, the possibility of professional development for teachers and civil servants, etc.
The result of the meeting was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the university and the Dolyna City Council, which includes, in particular, the opening of a consultation center in the city of Dolyna.
During the visit, there was a visit to the Local History Museum “Boikivshchyna” by Tetiana and Omelian Antonovych, where the delegation was hospitably received by the director Ksenia Tsyganyuk and the museum “Residence Yangoliv”.
In addition, members of the delegation met with representatives of the Luhansk diaspora, the Council of IDPs, and residents of the city. During the conversation, they talked about studying at the university and gave answers to questions about admission to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
We hope that the cooperation between the university and the Dolyna City Council will be fruitful and will make it possible to educate a new generation of specialists capable of high-tech and innovative development of the community; create an attractive socio-cultural environment and reduce the level of youth outflow from the community; receive funds from international and grant activities; to involve members of the community in work at the university.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your understanding, sensitivity, warm welcome, and support! Our education is a guarantee of your success!
