All-Ukrainian webinar “Modern Challenges of Social Work”. Issue 5.

On March 12, 2024, another webinar from the “Modern Challenges of Social Work” series was held. 

The webinar is organized by the Department of Social Pedagogy of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University.

The speaker of the fifth edition of the webinar on the topic: “Activities of the Ukrainian Women’s Guard in Relation to Working with Women in the War” was the founder of the NGO “Ukrainian Women’s Guard” Olena Biletska.

More than 100 participants from different regions of Ukraine took part in the event, including teachers and graduates of bachelor’s and master’s degrees of higher education, specialty 231 “Social Work” under the educational program “Social work. Social pedagogy. Practical psychology”.

As a result, the webinar participants acquired such competencies as: the ability to work in a team; the ability to initiate, plan and manage changes to improve existing and develop new social services; the ability to make informed decisions; the ability to prepare proposals for the prevention of life-threatening diseases, the provision of social services at the regional, local and social service provider levels.

Next Tuesday, March 19, 2024, on the World Social Work Day, we invite everyone to a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of HOGO “MIR” in Ukraine, Director of the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal “Opening Moments” Zhanna Kharkivska-Dziuba with a lecture on topic: “Study of integration and adaptation processes of Ukrainians, especially those with the status of temporary protection, to understand their interaction with the new socio-cultural environment (using the example of Portugal)”.
