A guest lecture “Using the Varietal Potential of Medicinal and Essential Oil Plants in Decorative Gardening and Phytodesign” was held at the ER INAS.
Teachers and students of all specialties of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences of LTSNU attended a guest lecture by Natalia Kutsenko, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, head of the Selection and Seed Production Department of the Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences.
During the meeting, the lecturer highlighted various and interesting aspects of the varietal potential of medicinal and essential oil plants, the features of their use in decorative horticulture and phytodesign:
- variety potential, concept of variety and decorativeness;
- the effect of the variety of medicinal and essential oil plants on their decorativeness;
- comprehensive assessment of ornamental plants and their components;
- species and varietal diversity of medicinal and essential oil plants used in decorative gardening and landscaping;
- peculiarities of the use of medicinal and essential oil plants in the interiors of premises and their assortment.
At the end of the lecture, Ms. Nataliia answered numerous questions from the listeners.
