Public discussion of educational programs

There was a public discussion of educational programs “TV Presenter” at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
In order to improve the quality of educational programs “Television Presenter”, specialty 021 Audiovisual Art and Production and in accordance with the principles of ESG-2015, an open meeting of the Audiovisual Arts Department with stakeholders was held regarding the consideration of projects of educational programs “Television Presenter” of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) level.
The meeting of the Department was attended by the scientific and pedagogical workers of the department, director of the Institute of Arts: Iryna Volodymyrivna Prodan, acting head of the department of quality management of educational activities – Margarita VitalIivna Kravchenko, dean of the faculty, candidate of art studies, associate professor of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture – Nataliia Vitaliivna Markhaichuk, editor-in-chief of the Bureau of Information Content of JSC “NSTU” branch “Poltava RD” “Suspilne Poltava” – Karyna Oleksandrivna Moskalenko, TV journalist, graduate editor, host of programs on Poltava Television (PTV) – Iryna Dmitrivna Babenko, editor-in-chief, host of the author’s program on the channel “Free Poltava” – Yaroslav Hryhorovych Zhuravel, the fourth-year bachelor’s students of the educational program “Television Presenter” – Veronika Zavertailova and Vlada Dudnyk.
Margarita Kravchenko and Iryna Prodan emphasized the alignment of the goal of the educational program with the strategy of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Nataliia Markhaichuk recommended clarifying the list of positions that applicants can occupy after graduating from the “TV Presenter” educational program.
Yaroslav Zhuravel emphasized that the educational components of the educational program should meet the Standard of Higher Education and be professionally oriented.
Iryna Babenko noted that the position of “TV Presenter” can be held by a graduate of the OP “Television Program Host” at the bachelor’s level only if they have work experience.
Karyna Moskalenko recommended considering the proposal to introduce a discipline in the educational program that would be oriented towards social networks, because modern TV channels use such platforms for greater audience coverage and quick and practical access to information.
The head of the Audiovisual Arts Department, Maksym Saibekov, proposed to introduce an educational component of the legal cycle into the educational and professional program “TV Presenter” at the master’s level, since issues 82 and 83 of the Handbook of qualification characteristics of employees’ professions (since there are no professional standards) state that applicants for positions must to know the rules and norms of labor protection, the current legislation that regulates the activities of television, radio broadcasting, the basics of copyright and labor legislation.
It was also proposed to introduce selective educational components of the legal cycle at the bachelor’s program “TV Presenter”: “Practice on the basics of law for creative majors” and “Intellectual property in audiovisual art and production”.
Veronika Zavertailova and Vlada Dudnyk offered to consider the proposal to create a theater, because it should raise the level of speech culture and artistry.
We would like to thank all interested parties, namely employers, the academic community, and students for participating in the discussion of educational program projects “TV Presenter”, specialty 021 Audiovisual Art and Production of the first and second level of higher education. This will improve the quality of educational programs.
The proposed changes will be considered by the project group and appropriate changes will be made to the draft educational programs and draft curricula of 2024.
