Shevchenko days at the College

Shevchenko days were held at the Starobilsk Professional College.

Taras Shevchenko… His name became a symbol of Ukraine. He is called a harbinger of a new life, a people’s prophet, a titan of the spirit who cheered for the fate of his native people. He left a spiritual testament to his descendants, which is passed down from generation to generation. He was, is and will forever remain the most important person in the formation of our state.

It is important to honor the memory of the Great Kobzar, to know the history of his life and work. Shevchenko days are a great opportunity to touch his legacy, learn more about him, feel the poet and his word among us today.

On March 8, the event “We hear you, Kobzar, through the centuries”, dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko, took place at the Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU.

The event began with the “Song about Kobzar” performed by Natalia Mai. Students and teachers of the College recalled interesting facts from the poet’s life, watched presentations on the topic “The Paths of Taras”, listened to songs by modern rock artists and musicians to the words of Kobzar. Artem Pyvovarov performed the song “Thoughts”, Mykola Osadchuk’s group – “Testament”.

A contest of thematic drawings, bright memes was held among the students …

The participation of our students in the Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literary Competition has already become traditional. This year, according to the results of the 3rd (regional) stage of the 14th Competition, the winners were Anastasia Naida and Yaroslav Holubnychii. They won the 3rd place and became participants in the final stage of the competition. We are waiting for the results. And how interesting and creative the tasks were: the participants had to write their understanding of memes.

On March 9, near the monument to Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko in the city of Lubny, a meeting was held to honor the memory of the Great Kobzar. Students and teachers were also participants in the meeting. Much has been said about the greatness of the figure of the poet in Ukrainian culture, politics, and art. He is a genius, a thinker, a prophet, a philosopher and the creator of the national identity of the people.

Those present laid flowers at the monument and sang the National Anthem of Ukraine.

Today, the strong and prophetic word of the poet gives strength, courage and confidence to us, Ukrainians, in the fight against the enemy. And we continue to fulfill his will!
