Meeting of the Presidium of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine

A meeting of the Presidium of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine was held recently.

Vitalii Semenovych Kurylo, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, First Vice-Rector, head of the Luhansk Regional Organization of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine and Anton Vasylovych Bader, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, deputy head of the Luhansk regional organization of the National Union of Local History of Ukraine took an active part in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the NSCU, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine O. P. Reent.

During the work, information was presented about the activities of the Union at the current stage (2023-2024) and about the preparation of the 16th All-Ukrainian Scientific-Practical Historical-Local History Conference, reports of the Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv and Sumy regional organizations of the NSCU were heard. The issue of the development of educational local history in the conditions of war was separately considered and the scientific journal “Local History” No. 1-2 (year 2024) was recommended for publication.

Current issues of the union’s activities were also discussed at the meeting, including the nomination of active members of the NSCU for academic awards, prizes and scholarships.
