Lecture on protection in the zone of military operations

A guest lecture was held on the protection of the population in the zone of military operations and the prevention of risks from explosive objects.

On March 5, 2024, the Educational and Research Institute of Technologies and Trade took part in a guest lecture on mine danger, which was held by the public organization “Sapers of Ukraine”, whose motto is: “Mine countermeasures cannot wait!”.

During the lecture, the key aspects that will help to avoid dangers during air raids, sudden shelling, evacuation, detection of explosive objects, etc. were discussed. Those present understood what threats exist in our region and in other regions of Ukraine. It is understood that any thing left unattended in a public place or transport, without an owner, is a potential threat, even if certain signs of an improvised explosive device are not visible. The participants learned how to prepare housing during an attack and bombardment and how to recognize explosive remnants of mines and ammunition left in combat areas, which are very dangerous. We got acquainted with various dangerous objects and actions when they are detected. They remembered the three golden rules:

  • do not approach;
  • do not touch;
  • notify the rescue service.

Call to get help if necessary:

-101 – State Emergency Situations Service;
-103 – emergency medical assistance.

The lecture provided useful information for preparing for dangerous situations and helping to keep our population safe. Thank you very much for the knowledge!

Safety is our priority! Remember – DO NOT approach! Do not touch! Dial 101!
