A guest lecture “Socio-Economic Aspects of Traditional Forms of Tireless Nature Use” was held at the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences.
Students and teachers of all specialties of the Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences attended a guest lecture by Liudmyla HLUSCHENKO, Candidate of Biological Sciences, senior researcher, deputy director for scientific work of the Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
The topic chosen for the meeting was not random, as its various aspects were interesting for all students and teachers of the ER INAS.
During the meeting, the listeners learned about the origins of traditional forms of tireless nature use; organizational and social factors of the introduction of traditional forms of tireless nature management; limits on harvesting rapidly renewable forest resources.
Also, Mrs. Liudmyla spoke in detail about resource science of medicinal plants – methods of accounting for raw materials and determining their yield. The main resource-relevant species of medicinal plants and the diversity of medicinal plant flora of the Polissia and Forest Steppe of Ukraine were considered as a separate issue.
Mrs. Liudmyla emphasized the importance of preserving natural resources and using them in harmony with nature to ensure sustainable development of society.
During the lecture, the audience received extremely interesting, comprehensive and useful information and answers to questions.
