26.2.2024
Representatives of the ER ISHS presented a report at the International Scientific and Practical Conference.
On February 15, representatives of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences delivered a report at the International Scientific and Practical Conference “MODERN SOCIO-CULTURAL TRANSFORMATIONS: MEDIA, LANGUAGE, COMMUNICATION.”
Thus, on the topic “Life and work of Ivan Kotlyarevskyi as a socio-cultural code of Ukrainian national identity”, Yevgenia Shevtsova, assistant of the Department of History and Archeology, and Viktoriia Makarenko, student majoring in “History and Archeology”, reported.
The topic of the report is really relevant, because Ivan Kotlyarevskyi can be considered as a key figure in the formation of the socio-cultural code of Ukrainian national identity. His work, including the poems “Aeneid”, “Natalka Poltavka” and “Moskal the Magician”, reflected the spirit and national identity of the Ukrainian people. Kotlyarevskyi became the first writer who decided to write in the Ukrainian language, which played an important role in the formation of the literary tradition and the maintenance of national consciousness. His work not only reflected the life and traditions of the Ukrainian peasantry, but also highlighted important historical and social issues that were relevant for Ukrainian society at that time.
Presentations at international scientific conferences are an important part of the institute’s life. For employees and students, they allow the exchange of experience and knowledge with other scientists, promote their own research and projects, which contributes to the popularization and development of scientific activity. In addition, participation in conferences helps awardees learn public speaking, presentation preparation and audience interaction, which is important from the first years of study for a future career in science.
