Memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes

Every year on February 20, the Heavenly Hundred Heroes are commemorated in Ukraine.

This memorial day was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 11, 2015 No. 69/2015 “On honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes” in memory of the citizens who died during the Revolution of Dignity in the struggle for the ideals of democracy, human rights and freedom, the European future of Ukraine and thanks to which the course of our country’s history was changed.

Today, students of the ER IMIT joined the requiem event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes with the participation of the Scientific and Methodological Center of VFPO together with the library of Rivne Professional College of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine.

The death of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes changed the public consciousness of Ukrainians, actualizing the importance of such concepts as the right to self-determination, dignity, freedom, state sovereignty, democracy, and European choice.

This year, the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes is held under the slogan “We remain worthy of our heroes.”
