Meeting of project groups for the EP “Ecology”

A meeting of project groups for the EP “Ecology” at the bachelor’s and master’s level took place at the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology of the ER INAS. 

The guarantors of the “Ecology” educational programs Nataliia MATSAI and Iryna KYRPYCHOVA held a meeting with members of the project groups, stakeholders, students, teachers and graduates to discuss educational program projects. 

During the meeting, important issues regarding the improvement of the content and structure of educational programs based on the competence approach, the content and sequence of studying educational components at the first and second level of higher education were discussed. The results of the survey of students, employers and graduates and their proposals were considered. The members of the project groups reached a conclusion regarding the expansion of the list of professional training disciplines aimed at deepening knowledge on establishing and overcoming the consequences of environmental destruction caused by war.

It was noted that students are interested in these changes, gain new knowledge of research methods and skills in working with modern software. As a separate issue, proposals regarding the formation of a list of selective disciplines in accordance with the current requests of employers were considered. It was noted that “Ecology” educational programs are focused on in-depth professional training of modern ecologists capable of quick adaptation to the requirements of legislation. It was noted that integrated and consistent training of bachelors and masters is carried out, which combines a clear practical orientation of education. All those present supported the proposed changes.
