Master classes in February

Master classes were held by the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts.
On February 9, Inna Hurzhii, a senior teacher of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, held a master class on Petrykiv painting.
The participants felt the atmosphere of folk painting, learned about the traditional techniques of Petrykiv painting and drew greeting cards. The postcard was painted by the beneficiaries of our partner – the NGO “Poltavshchyna Joint Cause”.
On February 10, Nataliia Digtyar, head of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, a member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, held a master class on making a mini knotted doll.
Knot dolls or Motanka dolls, were made by the beneficiaries of SOS Children’s Villages in the city of Poltava. The children learned about the history of making dolls in Ukraine and made their own doll.
During the master classes, the booklets and calendars of the ER IA were distributed.
