Olympiad in Preschool Education

The first round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in preschool education for the first- and second-year students was held.

The Department of Early and Preschool Child Development is always actively engaged in scientific research work with applicants. The Olympiad is one of the most interesting forms of attracting future specialists to scientific activity.

So, on February 12, 2024, the first round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in preschool education for first- and second-year students took place. The Olympiad was opened by the director of the ER IPP Maryna Yepikhina, who wished the students creativity, inspiration, interesting ideas, etc. Svitlana Bader, Head of the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development, congratulated future specialists on their first significant step into science, emphasized that most scientists started their research work from their student years. The organizer of the event Iryna Grechyshkina introduced the students to the technology of conducting the Olympiad, the tasks, the rating scale and wished each of them personal victories.

Since future teachers do not yet have the opportunity to actively communicate with preschool children in the first and second years, the organizers of the Olympiad decided to offer the students to write an essay based on the picture. This type of work contributes to the formation of skills of analysis and observation; develops critical thinking, develops the ability to express and argue one’s opinion in writing, develops communication skills, etc.
