Scheduled meeting of the Academic Council at the ER INAS

A planned meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences.

The following issues were considered on the agenda:

1. Results of graduation certification of master’s students in the educational programs of the faculty’s specialties.
2. Features of the organization of the educational process in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2023-2024. 
3. Any other business.

Olha GUBSKA, the deputy director for educational work, spoke about the results of the final certification of master’s students in the educational programs of the institute’s specialties. The heads of the departments shared the difficulties that masters had in the process of preparing master’s theses. In order to improve the preparation of master’s students for the final certification, it was decided to conduct a survey of graduates in order to identify the problems they encountered during the preparation of master’s theses and to solve them in advance. Also, it was decided to consider the analysis of the results of the final certification of master’s students at the meetings of the graduation departments and to introduce appropriate measures to prevent them in the future.

During the consideration of the second item on the agenda, the speaker, Deputy Director of Academic Work, Olha GUBSKA, familiarized those present with the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process in the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. It was decided that the heads of the departments should decide on the dates for the 2nd semester of the 2023-24 academic year of offline laboratory and practical classes, as well as field practices according to the educational components of the department’s curricula for students of all courses. Heads of departments, guarantors of the EP, leading teachers were recommended to continue work on improving the material and technical base at the expense of project and grant activities and to continue work on the creation of educational and scientific centers, laboratories, museums, herbarium in accordance with the structure of the institute.
