School of the Future Teacher: Learning to Control Emotions
9.2.2024
On February 5, the School of the Future Teacher: Learning to Control Emotions was organized for the students of Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU.
The first steps in the teaching profession are accompanied by emotional experiences. Emotions can overshadow the perception of the professional life of a young specialist. An important factor in the successful adaptation of a future teacher to work is developed emotional competence.
With the aim of forming emotional competence for students of the Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU, a teacher N.D. Al-Hamadani organized the School of the Future Teacher: Learning to Control Emotions”. Young teachers learned to distinguish and control their emotions. They developed empathy, established a sense of respect, understanding, and a positive attitude towards all participants in the educational process.
A trip through a fairy-tale shop helped the participants of the event to identify positive and negative manifestations of emotions. With the help of the identification technique, students gained the experience of recognizing an emotion directly at the moment of its occurrence; noticing the physical reaction, bodily changes that accompany them; by the thoughts that arise under its influence.
The end of the event was an emotional analysis of the main areas of life of future specialists. The habit of thinking positively, like any other, requires practice and focus, especially at the beginning of a teaching career.
Dear students! Keep and maintain a positive attitude towards life: confidence, faith, activity, and optimism. Over time, positive thinking will become your mind’s default program.
