A meeting with a stakeholder was held at the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business.

On February 6, 2024, the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business held a meeting of students, teachers of the department with the deputy director of the Lubny Professional Lyceum Valentyna Girenko.

According to the EP of the “Professional Education” specialty, graduates of this specialty will receive the qualification of a teacher of a professional education institution upon completion of their studies. Therefore, the meeting was useful in terms of getting to know the potential workplace in more detail.

Valentyna Hryhorivna spoke about the history of the Lubny Professional Lyceum, the professions for which qualified workers are trained there, the available material and technical base, and the contingent of lyceum students.

In more detail, she focused on the specifics of the work of a teacher at vocational education institutions, their rights and obligations, the specifics of the educational process, remote teaching, rules and forms of professional development. Special attention was paid to the cooperation of the teacher with the master of industrial training.

Students and teachers were interested in the level of payment of teachers in vocational education institutions, the periodicity of updating the material and technical base and educational and methodological literature, and the features of industrial practices for students of certain specialties.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We thank Valentyna Hryhorivna for a thorough story about her educational institution and the work of a teacher at a vocational education institution.

The Department hopes for further cooperation with the Lubny Professional Lyceum.
