A methodical seminar was held at the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational Institutions.
On February 2, 2024, the Department of Public Service and Management of Educational Institutions held a methodical seminar on the topic “Modern trends in the preparation of masters in the specialty “Public Management and Administration”.
The Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Olha PTAKHINA informed the audience of the main provisions and conceptual foundations of the reform of the professional training system of civil servants in Ukraine. The speaker separately drew attention to the updated procedures for the competitive selection of executors of the state order for the training of master’s students majoring in “Public Management and Administration”; tools in the field of financing the professional training system; tools of the NADS in the field of public policy regarding the training of masters majoring in “Public Management and Administration”; tools for ensuring the quality of educational services introduced during the reform of the professional training system; further priority directions for improving the legal regulation of the professional training system are determined by the content of the State Administration Reform Strategy of Ukraine for 2022-2025.
The speaker presented the results of the NADS annual analysis of general needs for professional training of civil servants and local self-government officials, summarized over the past 3 years. The results of a survey of civil servants and officials of local self-government, the purpose of which was to study the organization and their advanced training and professional training after the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, became a lively discussion at the seminar.
The results of the seminar are the determination of lists of relevant topics regarding the professional training of civil servants and officials of local self-government during the period of martial law and after its termination, the need to take into account the peculiarities of the educational capacity of civil servants and officials of local self-government in conditions of martial law, and increasing motivation for professional training .
