Certification of master’s students

The final certification of master’s students majoring in 013 “Elementary Education”, “Elementary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” was held under the slogan “A Teacher is More Than a Profession”.

In the specialties 013 “Elementary education”, “Elementary education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” week was held under the slogan “A Teacher is More Than a Profession”, where students of the second (master’s) level of education completed their studies with a final certification, which included the defense of a final qualification thesis.

Liudmyla Nezhiva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Primary Education of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University (Kyiv) was the head of the examination commission.

52 master’s students presented their scientific research, which they worked on during the entire study process and tested it at various events at both the all-Ukrainian and international levels.

The relevance of the selected topics was related to the conceptual provisions of the New Ukrainian School, which considered the development of reading competence of students of primary education by means of digital educational technologies, online tools as a means of developing the speech of junior and middle school students in conditions of mixed learning, pedagogical conditions for the use of art technologies in the process of forming literary competence in primary general and basic general secondary education, features of using technology for the development of critical thinking in literature lessons, etc.

All works were performed at the sufficiently high level. Some of them passed an external review in compliance with all the rules of academic integrity and received positive leave of absence from teachers, principals of secondary schools of Ukraine.

The qualification exam showed a high level of theoretical training of the master’s students, their ability to analyze, generalize, justify the results and conclusions of the pedagogical experiment, and apply the developed methodical innovations in their own professional activities.

To ensure the safety of masters in the conditions of martial law, the defenses were conducted remotely.
