Final certification

The final certification of master’s students majoring in 014.01 “Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” was held. 

From January 18 to 24, 2024, the final certification of master’s students took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism of the state institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.

The master’s students of the educational programs “Ukrainian language and literature”, “Ukrainian language and literature. Language and literature (English)” of full-time and part-time forms of education took a comprehensive exam in professional disciplines and defended qualification papers.

Svitlana Lenska, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature of Poltava V. G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University was approved as the head of the examination commission.

The Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature Olga Kryzhanovska; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language Larisa Kolesnikova; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Nail Khairulin were members of the examination commission. 

Stakeholders were also invited to the final certification. Such cooperation with external stakeholders contributes to concentrated work aimed at improving the training of future specialists and at the positive dynamics of indicators of the quality of higher education.

During the comprehensive exam in professional disciplines, the students demonstrated their familiarity with the regulatory and legal framework, theoretical and practical principles of language and literature education. Master’s students have proven that they can skillfully navigate traditional and modern scientific and educational paradigms, use methods of planning and organizing the linguistic and literary educational process in institutions of general secondary education, and master the methods of preparation and use of modern educational and methodological support.

During the defense of qualification papers, the master’s students presented the results of scientific research in accordance with the standards of scientific activity and the rules of academic integrity; demonstrated the ability to search, process and analyze information in the chosen field, to use modern printed sources and information and communication technologies in professional educational and scientific activities.

The head of the examination commission, Svitlana Lenska, noted the relevance of the selected topics, which correspond not only to the modern demands of education, but also to society in general. The professor focused on the significant number of approvals of the results of scientific research, which testifies to the formed scientific potential of the students of education.
