Happy International Education Day!

Today the world community celebrates the International Education Day.

The International Education Day was first proclaimed on January 24, 2018 by the United Nations to celebrate the role of education for peace and development.

By launching this Day, Member States emphasized the importance of equal quality education at all levels, so that all people have the opportunity to continue education throughout their lives, which would help them acquire the necessary knowledge and skills and enable them to participate fully in society and make a contribution in ensuring sustainable development.

Without providing comprehensive and fair quality education, without the possibility of lifelong learning, it will not be possible to break the cycle of poverty and create prospects for the future. It is education that provides the necessary knowledge, practical skills, and a solid platform for self-development and self-realization.

Education is not just an opportunity, but the right of every person. It moves society forward and opens new horizons. Therefore, we wish that your plans, in particular in education, are in demand and implemented.

Dear students, let the acquired knowledge help you take an active part in the life of the public community, realize yourself and at the same time improve this world. We become strong when we possess knowledge. We are convinced that your abilities and hard work will be a guarantee of success in the development of a democratic state, and this will be facilitated by equal opportunities, high standards of education and requirements for its quality, declared by the legislation of Ukraine.

A low bow to educators, who with their tireless work contribute to the improvement of quality and affordable education for every student. You make a significant contribution to development by forming a new generation of its citizens, because educated people are the foundation of a prosperous country!

We wish you all good health, strength, well-being, peace, and satisfaction with the results obtained. Just move forward and believe in your strength, talent and success!

New achievements to everybody in the name of Ukraine!

With best wishes, Olena KARAMAN, Rector of LTSNU
and Vitalii KURYLO, First Vice-Rector and Head of the Academic Council of LTSNU
