Day of the Unity of Ukraine in Lubny

LTSNU took part in a festive celebration on the occasion of the Unity Day of Ukraine.

On January 22, 2024, in the city of Lubny, the management of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, together with employees, teachers, students and representatives of local authorities and the public, took part in a festive celebration on the occasion of the Unity Day of Ukraine near the monument to the Millennium of the founding of the city.

The students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University proudly brought the flag of Ukraine to the monument – a symbol of the unity and independence of the country. The yellow-blue cloth in the hands of the young generation represents the unity of spirit, thoughts and aspirations to preserve and strengthen the unity of our country.

With a moment of silence, those present honored the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of the Ukrainian people, and at the end of the event, a basket with flowers of national colors was placed by the students of LTSNU near the monument to the Millennium of the founding of the city.

This holiday is very important in the modern realities of repelling Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine. The Unity Day reminds us once again that Ukraine is a great and indivisible state.

The slogan for the celebration of the Unity Day – 2024: “Our unity is our weapon!”

Unity is inseparable from the sovereignty and real independence of the people – the foundation of building a democratic state and is the guarantee of the nation’s survival and existence. It involves not only the memory of the common past, but also requires united cooperation for the sake of the future, both on the battlefield and in the rear. When we, from different regions, work together, fight the occupiers, create something significant and important, because we have a common goal: an independent, democratic and cathedral Ukraine.

Unity remains one of the most important national tasks on the agenda. Integrity will be completely restored after Ukraine frees all territories occupied by the enemy.

So let’s unite, because Unity is the goal of Victory!
