Results of the “Family Ecological Christmas Tree – Heading to Victory!”

The Faculty of Natural Sciences is holding the “Ecological Christmas Tree” competition in December for the eighth year in a row. 

This year, the competition has changed its name to “Family Ecological Christmas Tree – We Are Heading to Victory!”. Today we understand that our every donation, even a small one, preserves the lives of our Defenders and brings our much-desired VICTORY closer! Therefore, the campaign-competition had another slogan: “Instead of a Christmas tree – donate to the Armed Forces: let’s make a Christmas tree ourselves, preserve nature, bring VICTORY closer!”

The initiative of the Faculty was supported by Tetiana Tymochko, head of the NGO “All-Ukrainian Environmental League”. The organizers of the event were the NGO “All-Ukrainian Ecological League”, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of LTSNU, the Luhansk branch of VEL.

More than 140 works in various techniques were submitted to the competition. Pupils of displaced educational institutions of the Luhansk region and the Center for Aesthetic Education of the city of Myrhorod showed particular activity. According to the terms of the competition, the works had to be made from materials available at home, so that the money saved from the purchase of New Year’s decorations could be used to support our Defenders.

The competition presented works in various techniques of execution from various materials, including Christmas tree decorations, toys, wreaths, Christmas stars, snowmen, New Year’s compositions and the symbol of the year.

The works were evaluated by members of the jury from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University: head of the Marketing Department Larisa KOCHURA, leading specialist of the 1st category of the Marketing Department Tetiana DEMIANCHUK, student dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Yaroslav BONDARENKO.

All participants received certificates and thanks for participating in the competition in the following categories: “Christmas tree decoration”, “Decorative candle”, “Do-it-yourself Christmas tree”, “Drawing, application”, “New Year’s wreath”, “New Year’s bouquet”, “Unusual Christmas tree”, “New Year’s composition”, “Symbol of the year”, “New Year’s toy”, “Creative snowman”, “New Year’s house”.

The winners of the competition were: Anastasia IVASHENKO, Danylo ZHULANOV, Krystyna PALAMARCHUK, Sofia SADOVNYCHA, Danylo NESTERENKO, Artem HORYANOY, Maria LOBODA, Oleksandr LOBODA, Lev GORBUNOV, Kateryna LAIKOVYCH, Darya SERHIENKO, Roman BABYCH, Tamara MAMEDOVA, Artur KOLYADA, Viktoria OMELYANENKO , Zakhar URAZOVSKY, and Artem KOZAREVSKY.
