Publication activity of LTSNU

Over the past two years, the growth of the scientific potential of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has been confirmed by the indicators of publication activity.

One of the important contributors to the successful activities of the university is its scientific research work. Among the main indicators that testify to the high effectiveness of the development of the scientific potential of the university is the leading publication activity of scientific and pedagogical workers in the field, which is included in international scientometric databases (Scopus, Web of Science): the number of articles in scientific publications, publications up to the first, second or third quartiles is similar to the SCImago Journal Rank classification, the number of citations from publications of scientific and pedagogical workers according to Scopus and Web of Science, the number of monographs from leading foreign publications news, a number of significant publications with current foreign research, a number of international scientific grants, so and vicious, the obviousness of laborious scientific schools.

Analyzing the publication activity over the last two years, we can see that our university has grown:

• the number of scientific publications that are abstracted by Scopus is 42% (in 2021 – 193, in 2023 – 274);
• the number of scientific citations based on Scopus data is 65% (in 2021 – 852, in 2023 – 1409);
• Hirsch index for Scopus by 29% (2021 growth – 14, 2023 growth – 18);
• the number of objects of intellectual power created and duly executed by 533% (in 2021 – 6, in 2023 – 38).

Current tasks for the university include the development of advanced minds through the publication of the results of scientific research by scientists in foreign or domestic publications, as included in Scopus and classified up to quartiles Q1–Q3 according to classification SCImago Journal Rank. The citation of such publications by light scientists is a sign of the severity and significance of the results obtained both for world science and for Ukrainian science.
