The first Winter Ball at the Institute of Arts
28.12.2023
The Institute of Arts held a Winter Ball and celebrated the end of the winter session.
December is a month full of not only holidays. The session begins for students: assessments, exams, practicals – all this makes your head spin, sometimes you don’t even recognize yourself… That’s why it was decided to celebrate the end of the year with fun.
On December 22, the Winter Masquerade Ball was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Arts, which was organized and held by the student self-government of the ER IA. We are grateful to the Poltava Art Lyceum named after Sofia Rusova, where the event was held.
The Masquerade Ball began with a performance by the Brass Band of the Institute of Arts, which performed two pieces by Adele and Shchedryk. After the orchestra, the guests were shown a film about the Queen, who arranged this ball (by the way, it was at her first ball that all the guests were poisoned on October 31 :).
The highlight of the ball was the waltz, which the students performed during November and December. Anyone could take part in the waltz.
An integral part of the Winter Ball was a photo booth and buffet. And the Masquerade Ball ended with a disco and the final waltz.
It should be noted that the directorate of the ER IA took over only the negotiations with the administration of the lyceum, which became the location for the holiday. The students did everything else including preparation and implementation themselves.
The self-government of the ER IA considers it necessary to make the Winter Ball an annual tradition. After all, regardless of the situation in the country, we have to find time and strength to live. We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for giving us such an opportunity!
