Concert for the New Year holidays

The Institute of Arts held a festive concert for the New Year holidays.

On December 18, the Educational and Research Institute of Arts of LTSNU held a festive concert for the New Year holidays. The concert was held in the assembly hall of the Poltava Academic Symphony Orchestra with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.

The guests at the concert were the partners of the ER IA, with whom cooperation agreements were signed during 2023, as well as residents and guests of Poltava.

The red thread running through the concert was the idea of belief in miracles. How it is necessary to believe in miracles not only for children, but also for adults, especially during wartime! Although it is difficult, you have to find the strength to live on.

The director and screenwriter of the concert is Alona Tereshchenko, deputy director of the EER IA for social and humanitarian work.

Maria Bura and Kateryna Chepiga, students majoring in “Audiovisual Art and Production”  became the charming presenters of the concert.

Filming and editing of the concert was done by the 1st and 2nd yearstudents majoring in “Audiovisual Art and Production” under the direction of Oleksandr Kalashnyk.

Teachers, students, and even graduates of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography of the ER IA performed on the stage. Musetta’s waltz from the opera “Boheme” performed by Maria Tikhonova, “Tamburin” performed by the flute quartet, and the incredible piano playing of Vladyslav Kargachynsky sounded from the stage.

Three types of dance were presented: a folk dance about love, a modern dance about finding one’s way, and a fiery ballroom dance.

The highlight of the concert was the performance of the Mixed Choir of the Institute of Arts, which performed three works. The first piece – Franz Schubert – Mass in G minor “Kirier” – lyrical, similar to the lullaby of angels. The second work by Illia Khanenko, a graduate of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. He lived in the city of Severodonetsk. After the events of 2014, he wrote a piece for our choir called “Kheruvimska”. And the third one was the charming Shchedrik by Mykola Leontovych.
