French Christmas Traditions and the Third Week of Advent at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology & Journalism.

On December 15, the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology & Journalism hosted a cultural and informative event dedicated to French Christmas traditions: the celebration of Christmas in France, Advent, symbols of Christmas, Christmas markets, the most interesting Christmas tourist routes, traditional French food. This event was part of the “Christmas Advent at the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology” events.

It was organized and presented to the audience by the associate professor of the department, Liudmyla Vsevolodivna Shapovalova, and students of the first year of the specialty 014 SE “Language and Literature (French, English)”.

Lecturers and 1st-year students, pupils of the 11th grade of the Novi Sanzhary Lyceum of the Novi Sanzhary Settlement Council of the Poltava Region, attended the event.

During the event, those present could enjoy views of festive French cities and stories about interesting Christmas events in France, accompanied by bright images. A song performed by 1st-year student Fundukyan Yaromyr and watching a cartoon in French contributed to creating the holiday atmosphere. The final chord was a French musical composition accompanied by a video of festive fireworks.
