LNU students have explored judging at the Regional Men’s Tournament.
Recently Institute of Physical Education and Sports has conducted a seminar for the judges. And here comes a new chance for LNU students – participation in Regional Men’s Tournament in Lysychansk. The third-year students of IPES Oleksii Lohvynenko and Yevhen Babych have been chosen as tournament judges.
Yevhen Babych has started learning the ropes of basketball including judging at our university. But nevertheless he has demonstrated bright results in judging during the Regional Pupil Championship and other competitions. Adult competitions differ from the child ones by the intensity of emotions and uncompromising struggle. Very often it negatively affects the referees, especially the newcomers. But Yevhen has got done with it.
Work of Oleksii Lohvynenko experienced with judging deserves the highest praises. He has been one of the best at the Tournament in Lysychansk. That is why he has been qualified to judge the games for 3-4 and 1-2 places. Oleksii has acted as a skilled referee. Due to his confidence, knowledge of the rules and excellent gesticulation he could control the game. And when emotions have run high, he has calmed players and trainers.
According to tournament results, Oleksii Lohvynenko has been nominated as the best referee.
