XXII Conference “Figurative Word of Luhansk Region”

The XXII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference named after Viktor Uzhchenko “Figurative Word of Luhansk Region” was held at the university.

On December 7-8, the 22nd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference named after Viktor Uzhchenko “Figurative Word of Luhansk Region” was held at the LTSNU.

This year’s conference, which is traditionally held by the Department of the Ukrainian Language, is dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of Borys Grinchenko – a pioneer of Ukrainian education in the Luhansk region: lexicographer, translator, teacher, writer, literary critic, historian, ethnographer, public figure.

At the beginning of the plenary session, the conference participants were greeted by the Rector of the University, Prof. Olena Karaman wished fruitful scientific communication and noted: “Our university is a powerful institution of higher education that holds a worthy position in scientific rankings. The Department of Ukrainian Language, which has extensive experience in organizing and conducting scientific and scientific-practical events, makes a significant contribution to the development of the scientific activity of the institution of higher education.”
