St. Nicholas Day

Saint Nicholas Day was celebrated for the children of teachers, employees and students of our university.

Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated in Ukraine on December 6 according to the new calendar. Nicholas is considered a helper, a source of spiritual support, a defender and savior from injustice and failures. The miracle worker is considered the patron saint of children first of all.

Therefore, on this day, the Primary Trade Union Organization, the university administration, and student self-government organized a holiday on St. Nicholas Day for the children of teachers, employees and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Thanks to the active students of the university and the NGO “PATIsonKidsClub”, the day was full of joy, positive emotions, children’s laughter and an incredibly warm and friendly atmosphere.

The little girl took part in interesting contests, fun games, told Nicholas poems, after which Saint Nicholas himself handed the children gifts and listened to all their wishes. There was a rhythmic disco with life-size figures, cartoon characters and taking photos with them to commemorate the wonderful holiday.

Sincere thanks to all the organizers for this day, which brought children and adults a lot of pleasure and may it always be about childhood, even if childhood years have already passed.
