Preliminary defense of qualifying papers

The Department of Biology and Agronomy held a preliminary defense of qualifying papers.

On November 30, 2023, the Department of Biology and Agronomy of the Faculty of Natural Sciences organized and conducted the preliminary defense of the qualification papers of the second-year master’s students majoring in 201 Agronomy, 014.05 Secondary Education. Biology and Human Health, 091 Biology. The event was held for the purpose of preparing master’s students for graduation, improving and approving the results of master’s studies, correcting reports, presentations, and qualifying papers. The first- and second-year master’s students, teachers of the Department of Biology and Agronomy took part in the event.

During the pre-defense, the students reported on the results of their master’s experiments. The reports were accompanied by presentations. The topics of the reports corresponded to the scientific direction on the technology of teaching biology in institutions of general secondary education in modern conditions, the study of the peculiarities of human and animal physiology, the development of elements of technologies for growing plant products in order to increase the yield and quality of products on the territory of Ukraine.

As a result of the discussion of the reports of the students, the teachers of the Department of Biology and Agronomy analyzed the state of qualification papers, provided recommendations for further improvement of papers, presentations, and reports. The relevance and practical significance of the master’s students’ research, as well as the thoroughness of the preparation of presentations, were noted. Such practice provides an opportunity to plan further educational and scientific work of the department’s teachers with master’s students. The results of the preliminary defense of master’s students were discussed at the meeting of the Department of Biology and Agronomy regarding the recommendation for admission to the defense.
