The professional holiday of all servicemen who serve or previously served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is celebrated every year on December 6.

If you want peace, prepare for war. These old but wise words remain relevant in today’s world. A strong army is still the most significant factor in determining a nation’s power. For many countries, it was the development of the armed forces that became the catalyst for the rise to the status of a great power. In Ukraine, the importance of a strong, well-armed army has long been unquestioned. The national Armed Forces defend the country, protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Today is a holiday not only for professional soldiers, but for the entire country, for every volunteer, for every family whose members defend our country from the enemy, for everyone who helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine, donates to the army, volunteers, treats the wounded.

The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also a powerful information occasion that draws society’s attention to their achievements and difficulties, as well as awareness of the important mission that the army performs in the life of society.
