All-Ukrainian campaign “16 Days Against Violence”

Training for the All-Ukrainian campaign “16 Days Against Violence” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

On December 1, 2023, within the framework of the All-Ukrainian action “16 Days Against Violence”, a bachelor’s student majoring in 231 “Social work”, the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Alona Kuznetsova, who is a trainer of the Youth Coaching Network of the NGO La-Strada Ukraine, held a training on the topic: “Prevention and Response to Cases of Domestic Violence Against Children During the War” for 8th grade students of the Nazar Makarenko Lyceum No. 6 .

The main goal of the event was to increase the level of awareness of the participants regarding the forms, causes and consequences of manifestations of domestic violence; development of caring attitude towards victims and identification skills of victims of domestic violence; as well as formation of skills in conducting informational and educational activities to prevent manifestations of violence.

At the end of the training, the participants created a “No Violence” collage, where all students had the opportunity to express their opinions and write down why they are against violence.

Such measures are extremely important, as they form an indifferent attitude of children and adolescents towards violent behavior, and also help develop the skills of implementing preventive measures in future professionals of the social sphere.
