Future orientalists together with their teachers held another meeting of the Youth Club of Oriental Cultures

On December 1, 2023, a meeting of the Youth Club of Eastern Cultures was held under the leadership of the Japanese teacher O. Borzova The topic of discussion was the traditional clothes of the countries of the Far East.

Students and teachers prepared reports and presentations. Sofia Nedogybchenko prepared a report on the topic “Chinese folk clothes: Hanfu and Qipao”, demonstrated the clothes she`d sewed herself, and talked about its features. Sofia Mykolaenko presented the history of Japanese clothing. Polina Sazonova prepared a presentation on the topic: “Hanfu: ancient clothes with spiritual meaning”.

Associate professor Yulia Malakhova shared her own experience of traditional clothing and presented a report on the topic “Traditional clothing in modern life”, showed the materials of a photo session in which she participated and spoke about her own observations of the clothing of the young generation in China and Japan. Professor Natalia Yugan prepared a presentation on the topic “Traditional Japanese costume in Japanese literature”, talked about Japanese festivals in Dusseldorf and introduced traditional carnival costumes.

The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere. All participants took part in discussions, shared their impressions.
