Summit of Progressive Educators

Representatives of the Educational Research Institute of Philology and Journalism had the opportunity to participate in the offline format of a large-scale event of Progresylni called Summit of Progressive Educators 2023.
On Saturday, December 2, in the very center of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv, more than 150 teachers and lecturers from all over the country gathered in an offline format, as well as about 200 spectators connected online through the Zoom platform, and broadcast on YouTube and Facebook.
Representatives from the ERIFJ were Vice Director in charge of Social and Humanitarian Affairs, lecturer of the Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Department Olha Korinska and Vice Director in charge of Academic Affairs, lecturer of the Department of Romanxe and Germanic Philology Kateryna Bilobrovska.
Bohdan Ferens, founder of Progresylni and members of the team, as well as MEPs, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech: Domènec RUIZ DEVESA, who expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and emphasized the support of the European community, and João ALBUQUERQUE, who emphasized the importance of civic education, as tool for building civil society, as well as the need for modern teaching methods. Felix Gett – Director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova personally congratulated the participants of the Summit.
After that, a public discussion was held on the topic “Regular educational innovations: synchronization or goodbye?” and an open microphone “How to strengthen educators and students on the ground and not lose those who are abroad. Displaced educational institutions. Professional technicians. Teaching diaspora.”
The highlight of the event was the master class “VoiceUp for educators. How to be heard “from Karolina Corol, host of the information marathon on the Freedom channel. She shared her life hacks, shared her experience and answered questions from the audience.
At the end of the event, the results of the year and the presentation of certificates to each participant were summed up. In general, it was an incredible experience for our representatives. We wish our lecturers to participate more often in events of this format, where they can communicate and exchange experiences with colleagues from all over the country.
