Master’s srudent of specialty 231 Social work. Social pedagogy. Practical psychology., Lecturer of the Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Department, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Olha Korinska passed the competitive selection to the School of Social Worker.

The event was organized by Women’s Aid International and the US Embassy. Offline in the city of Kyiv, participants will undergo an intensive course over the next two weeks, the curriculum of which aims to provide future social workers with in-depth knowledge to work with vulnerable populations.

The main purpose of the curriculum is to teach students to provide quality social support to clients. The programme includes a wide range of topics, from the basics of social work to the psychological aspects of old age and the specifics of communication with older people.

Students will also gain knowledge of the ethical foundations of social work, the basics of caring for sedentary and bedridden patients, resolving conflict situations and building successful communication. This programme is marked by an emphasis on the prevention of emotional burnout and the development of stress tolerance in social workers.
