Presentation of the book by cultural expert Oleksandr Savchuk

Students of the ER IA attended the presentation of the book by the cultural expert Oleksandr Savchuk and learned a lot of interesting things about the author of the coat of arms of the Ukrainian National People’s Republic.

On November 30, the Mykola Yaroshenko Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery) hosted the presentation of a book by the Kharkiv publisher and cultural expert Oleksandr Savchuk, as well as the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the ornaments of Vasyl Krychevsky. Teachers and students of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts and the Design Department came to the opening.

This year, Ukraine celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vasyl Krychevsky, an outstanding artist and architect, the author of the coat of arms of the Ukrainian People’s Republic of Ukraine, projects for the buildings of the Poltava Regional History Museum and the Taras Shevchenko Museum in Kanev.

The presented book contains reproductions of Krychevskyi’s original ornaments, which are kept in various museum institutions of Ukraine.

The exhibition will last until December 17.
