Participation in Accordion Music Marathon

Students-accordionists of ICA LNU have taken part in the VII Kyiv International Accordion Music Marathon.

Traditional Kyiv International Accordion Music Marathon took place at National Composer Union the last weekends of March in Kyiv. Project consists of a number of concerts conducted from 12 am to 9 pm for two days.

Master’s students of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Musical Art speciality, Yurii Kharchenko and Valerii Semenenko (both are trained by A. Ya. Stashevskyi) successfully demonstrated their skills in musical marathon. Young musicians performed interesting musical compositions including Organ Fantasy and Fugue D Moll by Carl Pitch, plays by J. S. Bach, parts from the Seasons by P. Tshaikovsky, contemporary compositions “In Constellation of Centaurus” by V. Vlasov and “North Light” by “In Constellation of Centaurus” by V. Semenov, Carpathian Suite by V. Zubytskyi and Sonata No. 1 by V. Semenov.

Every year Kyiv Accordion Marathon attracts the best accordionists from different cities and establishments of Ukraine and foreign countries. Participation in such serious artistic project is upscale and significant for our students. This year famous artists as well as the best young performers took part in marathon: People’s Artists of Ukraine Viktor Hubanov and Serhii Hrinchenko, Honoured Artisis of Ukraine Borys Mironchuk and Ivan Churylov, foreign performers Nerei Rodriguez (Spain), Drazhen Koshmerl (Croatia), King Broslawsk (Poland) and the others.
