New Book Presentation

LNU publishers have presented a new book.
In 2014 publishing office of State Establishment “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” (Publishing License DK No. 3459 as of 09.04.2009) renewed its work at new legal address in the city of Starobilsk. Recently academic staff and students of university have become more active in their publishing activity. A short time ago scientific journals, monographs, collection of research papers by students and lecturers, coursebooks and study guides published in 2014 – 2016 have been presented at the VII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments 2016” held in Kyiv. University’s printed output arose keen interest and demand of national and foreign researches, pedagogues, students and pupils.
Early April 2016 a new book – monograph by B. I. Korotiaiev, V. S. Kurylo and S. V. Savchenko – “Nonstandard View of Higher Education Standards” was published.
According to the authors, it is a result of lasting research, pedagogical and management activity in higher education system, generalization of goals and methods of its modernization.
Book presents theory of pedagogical philosophy developed by the authors before and covers critical and innovative view of higher education standards (education plan and programs, academic support, etc.), organizational forms of education process (lectures, practical trainings, independent work, control and estimation of education results, etc.), pedagogical concepts and so on.
Authors propose education alternative to the traditional one and considered as special kind of education with optimum conditions to develop ability to self-education, identity, self-consistency and self-fulfillment.
Proposed new type of education meets demands of society with recognition of the fact that traditional education system slows further social advancement.
Changes proposed by the authors should preserve, develop and strengthen student’s physical and mental health. In view of this, student’s way of life is the most important and base part of any segment of educational environment for each university.
So, book “Nonstandard View of Higher Education Standards” by B. I. Korotiaiev, V. S. Kurylo and S. V. Savchenko is a kind of invitation to careful analysis of higher education state and prospects for its development in our country; statement that Ukrainian higher education is a field acceptable for advanced unbelievable ideas propped by famous researchers in their book.
