Poster Competition for the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language

On November 9, the results of the Poster Competition for the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language were summarized.

The event was held as part of the activities of the Center for Design and Applied Arts “Creative Space” of the Design Department and the Center for Visual Arts of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts of the ER ICA.

The main message: the language is the treasure of the people, so let Ukrainian sound in our homes, on the streets of our cities, in our souls! In order to support the Ukrainian language in society, it is important to use various tools and approaches, to involve the vision of creative personalities (artists, designers, etc.).

During the “Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language” Poster Competition, the organizers aimed to rally future artists, designers and other creative personalities around the theme that thanks to language and thinking, society is able to change the surrounding world. It is not for nothing that the Ukrainian language is called nightingale, because it is rich in epithets and its sound is incredible.

The expert commission of the competition included the chairman – Iryna Prodan – Acting Director of the ER ICA. The jury members were Olga Kostyuk – Acting Head of the  Design Department, Vyacheslav Borisov – Professor of the Design Department, Nataliia Dihtyar – Head of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, Artur Aroian – Associate Professor of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts, Olga Vishchenko – senior lecturer of the Bryankia Professional College of LTSNU.

More than 30 works from Zhytomyr, Kryvyi Rih, and Poltava regions were submitted to the Poster Contest. All participants received certificates for participation, and winners received incentive prizes!
