“Swindler Goodbye!”

On November 9, a class was held within the framework of the All-Ukrainian information campaign against payment fraud “Swindler Goodbye” with the third-year students of Rubizhne Professional College”.

As part of the All-Ukrainian information campaign against payment fraud “Swindler Goodbye” and the Payment Security Mentor Marathon, which is held by the National Bank of Ukraine with the aim of increasing the level of knowledge of young people about payment security, economic theory teacher Olena Oleksandrivna Sviatoshenko held a class with 3rd-year college students on the topic: “History of money fraud: from counterfeiting to cyber fraud”.

Olena Oleksandrivna highlighted the issue of the origin of money counterfeiting, state counterfeiting, the history of the emergence of payment cards, fraud with payment cards in our time.

Students studied and consolidated the rules of payment security against cases of fraud, learned how to check the authenticity of hryvnia banknotes, learned about the opportunity to learn the rules of security of non-cash and online payments through the information campaign #SwindlerGoodbye and acquire a level of financial knowledge sufficient to make responsible decisions about personal finances through a free online – the educational website “Garazd” platform.
