Group meeting with teenagers
28.10.2023
A group meeting with teenagers was held at the Center for Psychological Recovery and Adaptation.
A child is born as an individual. Thanks to communication with adults, he or she gradually learns the social experience of humanity and is included in the system of social relations that shape their needs, interests, worldview, beliefs, that is, develop them as a person.
A group meeting with teenagers was held on the topic of personal development on October 21, 2023 at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the sensory room where our specialists work.
The formation of personality is the result of a person’s inclusion in the existing system of social relations through their assimilation of social functions, as well as awareness of their belonging to society. The term “individual” refers to a person as a separate representative of the human race. It is the basis of personality formation.
Every time we prepare a program for personality development, which is aimed at developing personal potential and guides a modern person to learn how to set goals in life and achieve them, make informed choices, shape their learning and development trajectory, be ready for changes and overcome difficult life situations, be responsible for one’s life, to effectively manage one’s resources: thinking, emotions, behavior, interaction with others, etc.
Psychological work under such a program is very important, so we worked together with teenagers on various topics:
- trust;
- emotions;
- career guidance;
- art therapy classes;
- physical therapy
The structural development of the individual in the form of self-awareness, self-esteem, self-expression, self-realization is based on conscious and meaningful activity. The need to express feelings, the need to demonstrate one’s emotions and inner experiences through personal communication is as natural for a person as the need to breathe and eat, so lectures were also held:
- goal setting;
- emotions and their meaning.
Each of the meetings with teenagers has its own positive influence and differs from each other, because the child’s mental development should include stages of processing and accumulation of the simplest available means for understanding stereotypes of behavior, based on which he will be able to flexibly build his relations with the surrounding world. No way of behavior can be imposed and, even more so, consciously learned by a child, if it is not confirmed by their personal emotional and sensory experience.
In addition to development in various areas, teenagers also get new acquaintances, communicate and become emotionally close to each other, feel supported and begin to understand themselves even better.
Each of the participants remained, as always, delighted with the meeting, learned to evaluate their capabilities, personal qualities, increased their self-esteem and made their own positive conclusions.
This space is equipped with the support of the international charitable organization SOS “Children’s Villages”.
We continue to work in this direction to form a desire for self-knowledge, a better understanding of our inner world.
