Training “Violence in My Life”

The first training for students took place at the ER ICA as part of the Compass Training Center.

On October 19, a training on the topic “Violence in My Life” took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts, which took place within the framework of the “Compass” Training Center, which is headed by the deputy director for social and humanitarian work of the Alona Tereshchenko.

The exercise of this training took place among students of various courses and specialties. The topic of this exercise provides an opportunity for students to explore their experiences of interpersonal violence. The purpose of the training was to develop knowledge and understanding of what is the object and cause of violence, to develop skills to fight violence in peaceful ways, to develop the values of tolerance and responsibility.

The exercise was taken from Compass, a handbook on human rights education involving youth, first published in 2002 as part of the Youth Human Rights Education Program of the Council of Europe Directorate for Youth and Sport.
