Artistic events at the ER ICA

The end of the week was full of events at the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts.
On October 19, students and teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts attended the event for the 120th anniversary of the First Ukrainian Art Exhibition, dedicated to the opening of the monument to I. P. KotlIarevskyi.
Many interesting issues related to artistic life in the Poltava Region at the beginning of the 20th century were discussed. In particular, various aspects of this topic were revealed in their scientific investigations by the teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts – Natalia Digtiar, Kostiantyn Tregubov, Inna Gurzhii, Oleksii Sobolevskyi, Mykola Bolyukh, Natalia Mikeladze, and Dmytro Korshunov.
On October 20, at the Mykola Yaroshenko Poltava Art Museum (Gallery of Arts), teachers, students and graduates of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts attended an event dedicated to the study of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian artist Leonid Totskyi.
Students majoring in “Fine Art, Decorative Art, Restoration” got acquainted with the work of the famous master of Ukrainian monumental art, who restored the frescoes and mosaics of St. Michael’s and St. Sophia’s cathedrals in Kyiv, created a large number of mosaic portraits of prominent figures.
