Information hour “Let’s Talk About Addiction”

An information hour was held at the ER ICA together with the International Anti-Narcotics Organization about addiction to drugs, alcohol and tobacco. 

On October 11, a general information hour “Let’s Talk About Addiction” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts. The volunteer of the NGO “International Anti-Narcotics Organization” Oleg Fadeienko acted as the lecturer.

All courses and specialties of the institute were present at the information hour. Those present received a lot of information about addiction to narcotic substances, alcohol and tobacco; who is to blame and what to do. They learned what addiction is; what to do if there is a person in one’s environment who needs help; how to help a person with an overdose.

Students and teachers actively asked the lecturer questions and participated in discussions. Also, all participants were informed about the organization where to turn for help.

Reflection after the event showed that this topic worries young people and there is a need for repeated meetings.
