My career is from LNU

A meeting with stakeholders was held at the Department of Oriental Languages as part of the initiative of the Faculty of Foreign Languages “My career is from LNU”.

As part of the initiative of the Faculty of Foreign Languages “My career is from LNU”, the Department of Oriental Languages held a meeting of students studying Chinese and Japanese, with Inna Zinevych and Artem Shestopalov who built a successful career after graduating from Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The meeting was also attended by Takashi Itozawa, the first teacher of the Japanese language at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, who worked at the University before the capture of Luhansk by russian terrorist groups.

Mr. Takashi took the floor first. He told the participants about the importance and relevance of studying Eastern languages, in particular Japanese, and further employment prospects that open up for graduates in the conditions of strengthening political, economic and cultural ties between our states.

Mr. Artem shared his memories of studying at the university and his first visit to China. He currently owns his own enterprise in China. He advised students to consider the Chinese language as a tool for starting any business, realizing dreams and personal fulfillment.

Mrs. Inna also told the students about her experience studying at LNU, in particular about the difficulties of learning Chinese, ways to improve pronunciation and expand vocabulary. Mrs. Inna has been teaching Chinese for a long time, she worked as the director of the Confucius Institute of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as in various positions in the representative offices of Chinese companies in Ukraine. She drew the attention of those present to the possibilities of studying under programs for foreigners in educational institutions of the People’s Republic of China.

In general, the meeting took place in a cozy, homely atmosphere. The participants had the opportunity to chat, ask questions and discuss current issues of studying Japanese and Chinese languages in the programs implemented at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
