Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship

From October 1 to 7, the Ukrainian Weightlifting Championship U 23, dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will be held in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The first-year students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of ER IPES, majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”, Sofia Naumova and Hanna Kalashnyk performed in the weight categories of 45 kg and 87+ kg, respectively.

Sofia NAUMOVA won three silver awards among 20-year-old athletes in the 45 kg weight category. Showed the result:

jerk 53 kg – 2nd place,
push 66 kg – 2nd place,
total is 119 kg and the 2nd place.

Hanna KALASHNYK in the weight category +87 kg among juniors won three gold medals with the result:

jerk 94kg,
push 120kg,
total is 214 kg.

Hanna Kalashnyk set three Ukrainian records in the jerk of 94 kg, in the push of 120 kg, and in total – 214 kg.

The master’s student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” Tetiana BUDNIKOVA also performed excellently, winning three gold medals among athletes under 23 years of age in the weight category up to 45 kg.

Tetiana Budnikova:

jerk 61kg – 1st place,
push 79 kg -1st place,
total is 140 kg and the 1st place.

Tetiana set a new Ukrainian record U23 in the push.
