Introductory meeting with first-year master’s students at the FNS

An introductory meeting with first-year master’s students was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The meeting was attended by: the dean, deputy deans, employees of the dean’s office, heads of departments, guarantors of EP, teachers, students of all EP specialties of the faculty. The meeting began with a welcome speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Nataliia MATSAI, who introduced the freshmen of the 2023 batch to the history of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Olha GUBSKA, the deputy dean for academic work, spoke about the peculiarities of the educational process at the university, introduced the structure of the mixed format of education, the educational platform “Educational Portal of LTSNU”.

Iryna KYRPYCHOVA, deputy dean for scientific, international and project activities, spoke about the directions of scientific work at the faculty. The leading specialist of the dean’s office, Vira YAVTUSHENKO, provided all the necessary information on social support for education seekers, the secretary of the dean’s office, Yulia PETRENKO, told about the procedure for obtaining student tickets.

Heads of departments – Halyna Yevtushenko, Dmytro SOPOVA, Olena BOYARCHUK, Serhii SOKOLOVA – were introduced to the master’s students, who spoke about the specialties of the departments, the peculiarities of training and introduced the guarantors of EP, tutors for specialties and advisors of academic groups.

During the meeting, special attention was focused on the fact that master’s level applicants should take special responsibility in choosing the topic of the qualification work and during their studies in the master’s degree, they should fully complete the study load according to the chosen individual trajectory.

At the end of the meeting, all members of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty sincerely wished the master’s students successful studies.
