A visit to the Local History Museum

In Myrhorod, the memory of the founder of the Myrhorod Local History Museum was commemorated.

Employees and students of the ER IEB, ER IPMIT, FNS and Brianka College of LTSNU located in Myrhorod visited the  Myrhorod Local History Museum named after Opanas Slastion.

September 22 is the day of commemoration of the founder of the museum, artist, graphic designer, ceramist, illustrator, publicist, teacher, scientist, ethnographer, researcher of kobzar art, shevchenko expert, public figure, volunteer and enlightener – Opanas Slastion.

The director of the museum, Andrii Fesenko, said that the name of Opanas Slastion is written in golden letters in the history of Myrhorod, because at the beginning of the 20th century and until the 1930s, there was no such cultural or social activity that Opanas Slastion did not touch. Museum employees told his biography and life experience. In order to add more national flavor and emphasize the cultural significance of the event, the teacher of the Romodaniv Children’s Art School Vitalii Derevianko was invited to the event, who performed well-known Ukrainian works on the bandura.

The event took place in a cozy atmosphere and left unforgettable impressions.
