Peace Day at the Department of Social Pedagogy

International Day of Peace is traditionally celebrated on September 21 in Ukraine and around the world.

Today, PEACE in Ukraine is not an abstract wish, it is a conscious goal of millions of people, because a bloody struggle continues for a peaceful existence, for the right to live in one’s own and sovereign state. And today every Ukrainian family felt the highest value of peace, which is the key to a happy life.

In order to expand the knowledge of higher education students about the importance of peace on earth, education of patriotism, love for one’s country, a number of educational events were held at the Department of Social Pedagogy on this day. An interesting material about the history of the introduction of Peace Day was shown at the Adviser hours for the acquirers. Students prepared interesting reports about the highest value of life – peace.

One of the brightest events was a master class on making pigeons, which are a symbol of peace and unity all over the world. Each participant of the event had the opportunity to make his own contribution to the common desire for peace and harmony and to create his own dove endowed with the purest feelings and hope for ending wars on earth. Each pigeon was unique because it reflected the soul of its creator and hope for a better future. This gave the winners the opportunity to express their own feelings and share them with the whole world. All participants of the event wish inspiration and faith in the happy future of our country. May each dove of Peace, created by its own hands, bring light and hope to people.
